Hillsdale Farmers Market - Fantastic locally grown food for your dinner table!

Dad’s Diner-located on 7a, Copake, across from Key Bank. Super for classic breakfast and ice-cream in the afternoons.

O's Hillsdale Diner - Located at the intersection of Route 22 and Route 23 in Hillsdale NY.  A step up from your regular Diner food! 

Hillsdale House - Restaurant and Pub.  Is a landmark in the area, great food, wood fired pizza, great place to meet friends and create memories.

Taconic Wayside Inn- located on Route 344 in Copake Falls. Great local bar, good pub food. Babe Ruth used to stay here on his way home to see his wife in MA.

Roeliff Jansen Community Library - Route 22 North towards Hillsdale, 518-325-4101, features art, exhibits, music events, great rainy day activity - free wifi.

Copake General Store- located on 7a by the Town Clock. Recently reopened and featuring local foods and everyday items. Support our local businesses!

Copake Laundromat- located on 7a, Copake, about mile from Town Clock, heading south towards Millerton

Area State Parks

Taconic State Park (locally known as the “Ore-Pit”)- 2 minutes away located on 344, Copake Falls. Swimming for all ages, picnicking, hiking and historical sites to visit. Taconic State Park is located along 16 miles of the Taconic Mountain Range, sharing a border with Massachusetts and Connecticut. Two developed areas, Copake Falls and Rudd Pond, offer an extensive trail system with terrain that varies from easy to challenging, offering spectacular views.

Mount Washington State Park, Massachusetts, 10  minutes away - Southwest corner of Massachusetts is a cluster of state parks noted for their spectacular scenery and breathtaking views. Situated high on a mountain plateau

Lake Taghkanic State Park - 20 minutes away - Lake Taghkanic State Park, nestled next to Lake Taghkanic in the rolling hills and lush forests of Columbia County, offers a wonderful variety of recreational activities. The park has tent and trailer campsites and cabin and cottage camping facilities.

Bash Bish Falls- located in Mount Washington State Forest, MA, about 1-2 miles from Taconic State Park on Route 344 east. Park and hike the wide trail to the falls.

Harlem Valley Rail Trail - the Harlem Valley Rail Trail, two sections totaling 15 paved miles through stunning rural Dutchess and Columbia County landscapes.

Catamount Aerial Adventure Park - 10 minute drive - Our park is an exciting aerial forest adventure that provides a variety of courses that are fun for all ability levels. After participants are fitted with harnesses, they are led through a safety and park usage demonstration, fitted with gloves and are then free to navigate their chosen treetop courses.

Copake Memorial Park- located across from the Copake Town Hall on Mountain View Road. The Park provides a wonderful area for outdoor activities with its tennis court, baseball fields, basketball court, children's playground and skateboard area. It also includes a large pavilion, which can be reserved for family gatherings. Check local paper for scheduled events.

Millerton, NY, 20 minutes south on Route 22, local shops, restaurants, and galleries.

Olana Historic Site- 40 minute drive, Route 9G, Hudson, NY, tour the house and land of famed Hudson River School Painter Frederic Edwin Church.

Historic Hudson- 22 miles, 35 minutes, visit historic downtown Warren Street antique stores, restaurants, Hudson Opera House and Hudson River waterfront.
