Life gets crazy.  There is always way too much to do and not enough time to fit it all in... But don't under estimate the healing powers of "down-time" for you and your family!  Haven't booked your getaway spot yet for the summer?  No worries, take advantage of our rather late (but great) cottage rental posting!   Our cottage is located on 3.7 private acres in Copake Falls, NY; nestled in the woods near two brooks, with a sunny front lawn. Located minutes from the Taconic State Park in the hamlet of Copake Falls, the waterfalls of Bash Bish and Mount Washington State Park of Massachusetts. This charming cottage was originally built at the turn of the century, served as the family summer home for over 40 years and was recently renovated so it can be enjoyed once again by visitors and family alike. Family collectibles, old photos and antiques adorn the shelves and walls to create a relaxed, creative atmosphere.

Get away from it All...

A place to have fun and put aside life's stresses for a while! Walk the stream, explore the near by State Parks, take in a concert at Tanglewood, take your kids swimming or grill burgers on the front lawn.  Maybe grab a fishing pole and fish the Bash Bish brook that borders  the property or the Roeliff Jansen Kill just down the road - or just put your feet up, relax and read a book on the porch with a glass of your favorite wine... it's all up to you.  If you are looking to shed some stress, get away from the constant cell phone chatter or crave a little peace and quiet - this might be what you're looking for!

Cottage Description

Sleeping accommodations are for six.  Two first-floor bedrooms, and one upstairs loft.  First downstairs bedroom contains two twin beds and is ideal for young children. Second bedroom is a recently renovated studio containing one queen size bed, with 8 foot tall windows that overlook front lawn, woods and stream.  Third bedroom is a sunny upstairs loft with views of the back lawn and woods, containing a comfortable king size bed for adults or teens.  The single bathroom with classic round shower stall, provides direct access from either downstairs bedrooms.  Galley Kitchen is fully stocked with all necessary amenities.  Cozy living room contains propane fireplace and dining room has lovely views of front lawn and surrounding woods with round oak table.
